Reminder for arrival at night
If you arrive at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport after 19:00, we suggest you stay in a hotel either near the airport or near Taipei Main Station and then go to Hualien the next day. This is because the last southbound train to Hualien leaves at 22:20, so it might be impossible for you to buy a ticket in time or to be assured of having a seat-assigned ticket if you attempt to continue your journey to Hualien by train on the same day as your flight arrives.
